Catatan: cellSONIC openCELLS Cellsbutton#5 2011
cellSONIC adalah sub-tema dari cellsOPEN yang
merupakan seri pembuka Cellsbutton. Cellsbutton (Yogyakarta International Media
Art Festival) diselenggarakan setiap tahunnya oleh HONF (House Of Natural Fiber),
tahun ini adalah Cellsbutton#5. Ada dua sub-tema dari cellsOPEN, yang pertama
cellsTALK (presentasi) dan dilanjutkan dengan cellSONIC (audiovisual
performance act). Kebetulan aku atas nama Control-Z menjadi salah satu pengisi
Sesi ini diisi oleh WAFT (Helmi Hardian, Benny Wicaksono, Novie Elisa) | ID, CIANT - International Center for Art and New Technologies (Andrej Boleslavsky) | SK CZ, Kampung Halaman (M. Zamzam Fauzanafi & Cicilia Maharani) | ID, Kartoenbitjara Indonesia (Bayu Alfian) | ID, The Swiss Mechatronic Art Society (Effi Tanner & Christoph Stahli) | CH, Tongji University (JK Wang & Qian Zhouyun) | CN, KINETIK | ID (Aditiya).
Beberapa menit kemudian, setelah Cellstalk selesai dilanjutkan cellSONIC.
Setelah Metropole Lightbery selesai, giliran Control-Z
beraksi. Malam itu Control-Z mengeksekusi satu komposisi berdurasi 18 menit
tanpa jeda.

Kampung Halaman (ID)
Kampung Halaman believes that youth should become the most important members of the communities in this world, as they are the keys to the success of the regeneration process. Contemporary processes of social change are influenced not only by the distribution and exchange of goods/money and the transfer of people, but also by the exchange of images and imagination brokered by the media, particularly by audio-visual media, such as film and television. It is a fact that in Indonesia, the young are the members of the community that are most affected by film and television today. TV shows and films produced in ‘other’ places and by ‘other’ people who have their own agenda (particularly economic), often confuse and encourage viewers to build dreams that are not realistic, distancing them from their actual environment, effacing their sensitivity and attachment to their own communities, and in the end, rendering them POWERLESS. http://www.kampunghalaman.org/
